 Die Sharpening Service |
Our "Flagship" cutting die sharpening service includes inspection, sharpening and required repair, if possible, on cutting dies by most manufactures. Each cutting die is visually inspected when it is received to determine the condition of the die. If any problems are found, the customer is notified immediately, made aware of the problem, and given the cost and delivery for the necessary repair on the spot. The die is then sent to the grinding area where it is leveled on a surface grinder for flatness and to insure the base and edge are parallel to approximately two thousandths of an inch. After leveling the die is sent for sharpening on one of our custom manufactured grinding machines. After sharpening the die is re-inspected and cleaned. At this point in the process the expulsion plate assembly (if equipped) is checked, adjusted, and or repaired. The die is now ready for packing for return to the customer. Our goal is to accomplish this on every die within 24 hours of receipt, with most shipping the same day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
